RADIANT STAIR LIFT

CONSTRUCTION:

The Stainless pipe of size 80X40mm is permanently fixed about 325 mm above the staircase slope and about 200 mm from the wall. Hence, the width of the staircase reduces by 200 mm permanently for general use.  The main pipe is either supported on the wall and/or on the brackets fitted on the steps or both. We do give vertical support made of Mild Steel with painting to the main pipe from the Steps of the staircase using L brackets. These brackets will be fitted on the steps. We will have to make 2 holes in every step for fitting the bracket. The vertical supports are given at every 2 meters or more depending on the site conditions. The pipe has rack welded at the bottom.

The BLDC motor and Gear box are fitted on the main bracket of the chair lift. The pinion is fixed on the gear-box shaft so that it matches with the rack of the SS pipe.  All the shafts, pins are tested for NON-CRACK DETECTION. The seat base is folding one.  The two arms of the chair are also folding. In the right hand arm at the tip of it, a DPDT JOY-STICK SWITCH or PUSH-BUTTON SWTCHES are fitted. As the switch lever / Push Button is pressed UP side, the motor rotates clockwise and the chair glides up over the SS tube. If the switch lever / Push Button  is pressed DOWN side, the motor rotates anticlockwise and the chair glides down over the SS tube. If the switch lever /Push Button is released in between, the chair halts immediately.

Shock absorber and auto-stop facility is provided at the bottom and also at the top of the SS pipe. Also as the chairs rests at the top or at the bottom, it is connected to auto charging facility of the batteries. Due to this, the batteries are always charged. Support Seat-Belt is also provided with easy fixing facility if required.  A battery charger is to be placed near the SS tube on a small shelf and the 2 wires carrying 24V DC are to be connected to the Charging points at the top and also at the bottom. 2 Remote controllers are also provided. One is fitted at the bottom of the stairs. This facilitates the other person to call the chair down and travel up from the Ground. Similarly, the other Remote is fitted at the top facilitating the other person to call the lift Up and travel from 1^st floor to the ground floor. The seat, the foot rest and both arms are foldable.

In case of Radiant model, the structural members of the chair and the L brackets are made out of Mild Steel and are painted, otherwise the main parts viz. The main Pipe, Motor, Gearbox, Controller etc. are the same as in Elegant Lift.

WORKING:

 Let ’s assume that the lift is at the Ground Floor.  The person goes near the start of the 1^st stair lift. He unfolds the chair seat and the 2 arms and Foot Rest. He sits on the chair. He fastens the seat belt. He pushes the switch lever/Push Button UP side, the motor rotates clockwise and the chair glides up over the SS tube. As he reaches the top of the 1^st stairlift, the chair motion stops automatically. He releases the Switch. He releases the Belt and gets down on the last step and the landing. He folds the Arms, Seat and foot rest of the 1^st chair.

He walks over the landing and reaches the start of the 2^nd staircase. He unfolds the chair seat and the 2 arms and Foot Rest. He sits on the chair. He fastens the seat belt. He pushes the switch lever/Push Button UP side, the motor rotates clockwise and the chair glides up over the SS tube. As he reaches the top of the 2^nd staircase, the chair motion stops automatically. He releases the Switch/Push Button. He releases the Belt and gets down on the last step and the floor.  He folds the Arms, Seat and foot rest of the 1^st chair.

Similarly, if the chair is at the top, he unfolds the chair seat and the 2 arms and Foot Rest. He sits on the chair. He fastens the seat belt. He pushes the switch lever/Push Button  DOWN wards, the motor rotates anticlockwise direction and the chair glides down over the SS tube. As he reaches the bottom, the chair stops and he releases the Switch. He un-fastens the Belt and gets sown. He has to also fold the chair, arms and Foot rest to clear the stairs.
